I've spent the past week in a new house. It was a stressful but exciting experience, and so far the first week has concluded very positively! I'm excited to have a new space of my own to call home, and excited for the new chapter that living in a place off campus will bring. I love, love, love interior design, specifically room decor. I have an entire pinterest board dedicated to cozy bedroom vibes. So I tired to channel my inner art hoe to make my room aesthetically pleasing. Here's what I've come up with.
I had a good end to the semester, despite the circumstances. I'm all done with my sophomore year, which is a weird feeling. Its strange thinking that next year I'm going to have 18 credits, a job, and be living off campus. I'll be taking more education courses and plenty of literature classes, so it'll be a big change of pace from the last two years where my workload wasn't as heavy and I was spending as much time socializing as I was doing school work. Little Egg and I were reflecting on these past two years and the changes to come for these next two years in college, and we're both feeling the same way. We're excited about advancing in our education and pursuing more specific career goals, and of course being one step closer to the end of school and the beginning of real adult life. But that concept of adult life can be scary. We're worried about what its gonna look like to be an actual adult. We'll both have jobs and school to worry about, and we're gonna have to learn how to balance a social life as well as hobbies and general time to just relax and unwind. We're unsure about the future, what it holds for us and the rest of the world. But we're living for now, and the hope we have for the years to come, which is really all we can do at the moment, and that's okay. So here's to new beginnings, the start of the summer, and the end of yet another school year. I hope you're all holding up well, not too disappointed at the loss of prom or graduation. Live in the hope that there are better days to come, and brighter things ahead.
