Recently a wave of butterflies has been ransacking our town. Painted Ladies are everywhere. The city is crawling with them, because our town was a pit stop on their 70 mile migration course. I have never seen so many butterflies in my entire life, and it was truly awe-inspiring. Sadly, the day after I saw the most butterflies a premature snowstorm rolled in, and most of them died. But since the snowstorm I've seen a few painted ladies still flapping their wings and making their way south, and as a tribute to them, and to my favorite butterfly, I drew a little picture. Enjoy!
