Keoki is my bunny, she's around 11 years old now and my family got her when she was just a little baby. She's a rex rabbit, which means she has insanely soft fur that gets everywhere including your mouth, nose and pants. I've had her longer than any of my other pets, and she is the official Queen of our household. My family will only take in new pets if they get along with Keoki, and she seems to know that. Her name means George in Hawaiian, since the people we got her from originally thought she was a boy. Even though she's old she loves to run around, be held and cuddled with, and everyone who meets her falls in love.
My betta is named Beethoven. He's a koi betta that I was lucky enough to find at PetCo. I love betta fish, but usually I get females, so getting a male, and especially one so unique and colorful, was an interesting change. I will not lie, taking care of Beethoven is very difficult. He's very delicate and gets sick often, but I've been doing my best reading as many articles as possible so he can get the best care and get better soon. Even when he isn't feeling his best he's always friendly and comes swimming up to the front of his bowl to greet everyone that comes in the room.
Bernini is the final survivor of my brother's set of underwater frogs that he bought when he moved to college. He brought them back home during winter break and gave them to me, since underwater frogs typically don't survive long drives. There were three named Donatello, Rousseau and of course, Bernini, all named after the people I had studied in the AP European History class I was taking at the time. Donatello died shortly after I got him, since he wasn't eating and just hid in the plant that was in his cage. Rousseau fared a bit better, but got dropsy, which is a condition in which an animal's abdominal cavity fills with fluid and whose only cure is surgery. He died the day after he got it. Bernini however is a fighter, and is a little older than a year now. He too is very friendly, and will sometimes swim and follow you if you move around in front of his cage. He's fun to watch when he gets active, which is typically at night.

Family comes in all shapes, sizes, and species! (I hope you appreciated that very awkward opening to my blog post introducing my pets to the blog) So tag along and meet all my little pets!
Meet Oliver, my guinea pig and real life child. He is the newest and most pampered pet in my family. I got him less than a year ago while I was in Petco getting bird seed. I saw a little baby pig lookig so sad and helpless, as he was returned to Petco by his previous family. My heart broke and my family size grew. Less than a year later, Ollie is my little fur baby who loves to cuddle and eat fresh mint. I had to stop myself from adding all the cute picturs of him :) You can expect to see lots of him and you'll learn to love it.
Meet Cloud, my 7 year old pure white Siberian husky. Even at the age of 7 Cloud is still very hyper and crazy. Cloud and I share the same birthday but that's as far as our realtionship goes, we aren't best friends but rather roomates. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs. But maybe a dog that doesn't howl at 6 AM and tries to play with your stuffed animals as a kid.
The only pets not pictured are my two Parakeets Vinny and Fresca. These two are best friends and don't need me, they much prefer each other's company rather than mine. I adopted Fresca 7 years ago from the Humane Society and named him after the soda can, as his colors resemble the can color. I later adopted Vinny from a family off of Craiglist 4 years ago and my older sister named him after the Jersey Shore star. The two buddies love to sing along with any kind of music and make a mess of their food.
All creatures great and small. Follow for pet tips and pictures, as well as some posts about people.
