Never underestimate the power of a good solo dance party. Wherever you are, we hope you can find the time and place to crank these up and just let loose. Dazzling Spring is made for dancing and singing, so get in front of the mirror, jump on your bed, or dance in the dark, whatever suits your fancy. As an added bonus, I'm sharing 3pm (since the prime of life happens at 3pm) which can be listened to from the afternoon on. Its a collection of all my favorite songs over the last two years, the songs I listened to over and over again in my dorm so that I know them like the back of my hand. Its very special to me, and hopefully it'll be special to you guys too. Its a good feelings playlist, and is the perfect background music for your zoom parties or your nightly self-care routines. Both of the playlists I hope will make you feel a little less alone, and a little more excited for the beauty of spring and all the good things to come.
Roll Up by Fitz and the Tantrums is one of my favorites from this album, it just makes me wanna sing and dance and jump around in a circle. Dancing Queen by ABBA and Ship To Wreck by Florence and the Machine are two that make me wanna sing and dance, and also make me cry but in a good way. Withdrawl by Max Frost and Sound of the Sunshine by Micheal Franti and Spearhead just make you feel good, they make your heart beat fast and can make even the gloomiest day feel like the warmest day of summer.
This is the Day by The The, Can I Call You Tonight? by Dayglow, and Off She Goes by Bad Suns were the songs I had on repeat all summer. They give off good indie classic vibes and I can't help but smile when I hear them. They make me feel like I'm surrounded by loved ones, even when my actual loved ones are far away. Beige by Yoke Lore and Like Gold by Vance Joy are heartbreaking, and they make my heart feel so full I can hardly stand it. Hallucinogenics by Matt Maeson was a song my roommate loved, and there were countless times when we would walk across campus singing it to each other and dancing across the lawn. Every song on this playlist is connected to a good memory, and I hope you guys can feel it when you listen to it.
