I'm still unsure whether his name is The Bleachers or just Bleachers, but whatever it is, its pretty great. Today I will be talking about the songs of his that I've listened to and liked, and trying to make a convincing argument about why you should listen to them too. Also there will be pictures.
First off, his music, especially these five songs, make me feel very special. Its hard to describe, but anytime I put them on I am instantly transported into a romanticized retro world. I feel like I'm in the 80s, but not the actual 80s, just the idealized version of the 80s where everybody wore scrunchies and overalls. A lot of his songs talk about running away and being in love but not in that dramatic, edgy teenager way. His music is low key and lovely, and its the greatest thing to sing along to.
The first song is Don't Take the Money which you probably heard on the radio and totally loved but never got the name of, so I'm giving it to you now. It makes me feel like summer.
The second song is Let's Get Married and it's the most lowkey and adorable love song I've ever heard and I want it played at my wedding so I can hop around the dance floor with my spouse.
Like a River Runs is another lowkey and beautiful song that makes me want to dance and laugh but also feels like floating peacefully in a lagoon in the middle of summer after it rained.
Rollercoaster makes me wanna run away from home. End of story.
And finally I Miss Those Days is the song that I have been singing for weeks now because it is so damn catchy, and so damn good.
Go give them a listen on YouTube or wherever else people listen to music.
