I have been a longtime lover of pinterest. I love the cheesy DIY's, the cheesy quotes, the cheesy outfits and the cheesy tattoos of planets and aliens. Pinterest is especially famous for its fall time posts, pictures upon pictures of leaves and pumpkins and flannel and those 'Fall to-do' lists that consist of hayrides and drinking pumpkin spice lattes. So since everyone seems to love pinterest a little more when the leaves start to change, and the official start of fall was five days ago, I thought I'd take the time to give you a closer look at our pinterest, in case you haven't seen it before.
Our style board is a lot of grunge fashion, fake 90s tshirts, and girls posing cross-legged with their heads cropped out of the photo. While I personally never replicate most of these outfits, its a longtime dream of mine to one day have a wardrobe that consists of nothing but clothing from the 80s and 90s. So until then, I stare at this pinterest board and dream. All the pictures can be found on our style board.
The art board gets a bit more edgy. There are plenty of art journals that can only ever exist in a perfect, pinterest universe, and line drawings of pretty girls. I often spend my days as a wanna-be artist trying pitifully to recreate these images into art journals of my own, and consistently fail time and time again. But it inspires me still, and proves that life is beautiful.
There are playlists on our music board. Lots and lots and LOTS of playlists. In fact there is nothing but playlists. Playlists filled with songs I have never ever listened to.
The beauty board is a combination of close-up eye shadow looks, girls with pastel hair, and girls just sitting and being themselves and being beautiful while sitting and being themselves. It exists not so much for the purpose of looking at and then recreating any makeup looks, but more so for the aesthetic value it gives to the community.
The animal board is filled to the brim with animals of every shape, size and color, but most of them are babies. There are pigs and dogs and hedgehogs and probably some fish because I love fish more than anything. Its a nice way to destress, and smile.
And thus concludes this shameless self-promo for our pinterest. I am the sole owner and moderator of our pinterest account, and while I don't post often I will try to more, and usually you can find our very own blog posts pinned there amongst everything else. Its a great way to connect with Little Egg and Carrot on every day that isn't Monday and Friday, and nothing new is being posted.
Go follow us to prove that you read it and re-pin all of our stuff! It'll be great I promise. Until next time!
