For a lack of a better post, I am giving you a life update. I've been in school for about three weeks now, and things are going exactly as expected. Not super great, but also not super terribly. All my classes are interesting, I'm not swamped with homework, and I'm running on very little sleep. The one thing that's different is that I'm spending almost every day hanging out with people.
We do stupid and insignificant things like get bags of chips and sit in random parks, and yesterday we spent two hours sitting in our school's parking lot until the sun set and all the parking lights came on and then we really had to go. As a senior, I'm sad that I'm just now making time to spend with my friends, and that I'm meeting all these people the year I have to go away. But at the same time I'm so glad that I'm at least getting the chance to do it. That even though it'll only last this year, its wonderful in the moment, and I know I'll remember the time I spent with everyone for a very long time.
In other news, this weekend our marching band has our first official performance, and then the next day Little Egg and I are heading to an anime convention. There will probably be plenty of blog posts about anime in the upcoming weeks, so if you're an anime fan you're welcome, and if you don't like anime then now would be a good time to read the blog post I wrote a while back and watch Nana.
All in all, life has been pretty sweet, and I'm glad. Because even if things do take a turn for the worst, at least I'll have the pleasant memories of this time where everything was going my way.
