I went on a trip with my marching band to California this past weekend, and rather than write a whole post about the experience, I decided to turn it into a fashion post, since we need more content.
It rained the first day, but was sunny and warm on the others, and so we were all decked out in shorts and tank tops. But then the clouds rolled in, and we suffered a little bit since none of us had room in our tiny little backpacks for a jacket.
My solution was to buy a 60$ long sleeved shirt that practically every stylish man, woman and baby at the park was wearing.
I also just love this style of t-shirt and am willing to drop any amount of cash to get my hands on the look.
The second stylish thing I bought was a pair of Mickey ears. Classic. But when you're surrounded by all things Mickey, and everywhere you look you see nothing but a sea of Mickey ears, you cave. My friends and fellow seniors all bought the graduation ears, which proved to be slightly annoying because the tassels kept falling in our eyes. By day two the joy over buying them and fitting in with the crowd had faded, and the ears gave us headaches and spent most of the day in our backpack since we kept taking them off for all the fast rides and forgetting to put them back on.
The first day we were there we didn't go to Disneyland, but instead spent a rainy afternoon at a farmers market, a place far more magical than Disneyland in my opinion. There were tons of little places to eat, tucked under striped awnings. There were fruit stands with giant strawberries and every other type of produce you can imagine. And I had the greatest iced drink I've ever had in my whole life. And this is a shot of my boyfriend and I, where I look very chic and he looks like a boy without a sense of fashion. But it's okay, I still love him.
I highly recommend heading out to California before San Andreas breaks and they fall into the ocean.
Check back in next week for some regular scheduled blog posts, because March has been a crazy month and I have only posted 2 blog posts on time!
